“Being able to solve or manage medical problems for patients is most rewarding for me.”
Dr. Brent Gordon, D.O., M.B.A., is a family medicine and primary care physician who is Board-certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine. Armed with a great deal of healthcare experience, Dr. Gordon is also an active member of several professional societies that include the American Osteopathic Association, the American Medical Association and the Texas Medical Association.
“My first experience in healthcare was working as a volunteer at the Veterans Hospital in Miami, Florida in my youth. In later years, I worked as an orderly at the Miami Heart Institute and also as a lab technician in the Urology department of the University of Miami’s School of Medicine. My personal approach to medicine and patient care can best be summed up by an old Arabian proverb that says ‘he who has health has hope and he who has hope has everything’! I strive to remain mindful of this when working with patients, especially because being able to resolve their medical issues is both very rewarding and a continual motivator for me.”
After receiving his M.B.A. from Barry University, Dr. Gordon completed medical school through the Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Miami Beach, Florida. He underwent an internship at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York City, New York before completing his residency through the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. He has since maintained an active presence as a family medicine and primary care physician throughout North Texas.
Dr. Gordon brings a positive demeanor, extensive family medicine knowledge and healthcare expertise to the Lumin Health family. He is Board-certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine and has memberships in a number of professional associations. For further inspiration, he often recalls one of Hippocrates’ most famous quotes: “Wherever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity.”
